The Play in is Over

Congratulations to all 12 trainers who made their way through the Play in and into the P.A.L. Now that we have all 32 amiibo, the P.A.L. can finally begin in earnest.

The Divisional Rounds

Each round, every Amiibo will play 1 other Amiibo from their division. After 7 divisional rounds, and every Amiibo has played every other Amiibo in their division, the stage will be set for the playoffs. The top 3 Amiibo in each division will move on to the Playoffs. For the other Amiibo however…

A Change to Relegation

Previously it was announced that the bottom 2 Amiibo from each division would be dropped from the P.A.L. and forced to re-earn their spot through the Play in Tournament. After a long discussion with Splice, it has been determined that this number will be increased to the bottom 3 Amiibo in each division. By doing this, we want to increase the hopes of trainers who are looking to win their way into the P.A.L. However, while more spots will be open each season, this also means the competition for those slots will be more fierce.

The Prize Pool

Thanks to the kind donations we’ve received, the prize pool has increased to $140, as well as three donated Amiibo. Splice and I are still in discussion as to how exactly the distribution will be done, but we will update you when a plan is in place.
